Journal entry
The record of one event in your books, written as balanced debit and credit lines. Every invoice, bill, payment, and refund creates one behind the scenes.
In Solo Superstars
Open Accounting › Journal entries to see every entry with its date, source (invoice, bill, bank import, close), and lines. You can also post a manual entry from New journal entry when nothing else fits, such as an owner putting personal money into the business.
Entries are never edited after posting. To fix one, the app posts a reversing entry and a corrected one, so the history stays complete.
Example
Recording a $45 quick expense for parking paid from checking creates one entry with two lines: debit 6400 Vehicle Expenses 45, credit 1010 Checking 45.
Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
