Audit trail
The rule that nothing posted is ever edited or deleted. Corrections are new entries that reverse the old one, so both stay visible forever.
In Solo Superstars
Every journal entry carries who or what created it (you, an import, Alison, a close) and when. Reversals link to what they reverse. Approvals record who said yes. An accountant reviewing your books can follow any number to its origin.
Example
Six months later you wonder why March expenses look high. The ledger shows the bill, the reversal that cancelled it, and the corrected bill, in order.
Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
