Period lock

The date on or before which no entry can be posted. Set by a close; lifted only by reopening the latest period.

In Solo Superstars

Every write to the books checks the lock. A bill dated inside a closed month is refused with the closed-through date, so a late receipt goes in the current month or you reopen on purpose.

Example

Closed through 2026-08-31. A quick expense dated August 20 is refused; dated September 1 it posts.

Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
