Someone you buy from. Vendors and customers share one contact list; a contact can be both.
In Solo Superstars
The Vendors page is the contact list filtered to vendors. Mark a vendor as a 1099 contractor and the app tracks what you paid them by check, cash or transfer.
Example
Your web host is a vendor; a client who also sells you stock photography is both a customer and a vendor on one card.
Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.

- Party — The unified word for any contact you trade with. A party can be a customer, a vendor, or both.
- Bill — An invoice a vendor sent to you. Recording it books the expense; paying it clears the payable.
- 1099 vendor — A US contractor you must report on Form 1099-NEC if you paid them $600 or more in a calendar year by cash, check or bank transfer.
- Payee — Who a bank transaction was really with, resolved from the descriptor. One payee can have many descriptors.
