Party

The unified word for any contact you trade with. A party can be a customer, a vendor, or both.

In Solo Superstars

You will mostly see Customers and Vendors in the sidebar; both pages read the same list with a role filter. Addresses, tax IDs and payment terms live on the party.

Example

"Acme Co" with both roles on: invoices go out to it, bills come in from it, and the statement shows both.

Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.

• Vendor — Someone you buy from. Vendors and customers share one contact list; a contact can be both.
• Payee — Who a bank transaction was really with, resolved from the descriptor. One payee can have many descriptors.
