Trial balance

A list of every ledger account with its debit or credit total for a date range. The two grand totals must match.

In Solo Superstars

Open Reports › Trial balance and pick an end date. You will rarely need it yourself; it exists as a check and as the starting point accountants use for the statements. Alison runs it before every close.

Example

Checking 48,210 Dr · Receivable 6,400 Dr · Payable 2,150 Cr · Services 41,300 Cr · … totals 64,368.62 both sides.

Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
