Owner-paid expense

A business cost you paid from personal money. Booked as an expense with the owner’s contribution as the other side.

In Solo Superstars

On a quick expense choose "Paid by owner" instead of a bank account. The app credits Owner’s Investment rather than a bank account, so nothing needs reconciling.

Example

$200 of supplies on your personal card: debit 6220 Office Supplies & Software 200, credit 3100 Owner’s Investment 200.

Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
