3100 Owner's Investment

Money or assets you put into the business as the owner. Not revenue; it raises your equity.

In Solo Superstars

Record contributions on the Owner equity page or by categorizing a personal deposit to this account. It is permanent equity; the year-end close leaves it alone.

Example

You transfer $5,000 personal savings into checking: debit 1010 5,000, credit 3100 5,000.

Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
