Financial Watch

Alison’s standing check for unusual activity: a vendor charging twice, an expense far above its baseline, a deposit that never cleared.

Runs after each import and daily. Findings arrive as inbox items you can dismiss or act on; dismissed ones are not raised again for the same cause, and anything already listed as a close exception is skipped.

Example

"Software Expense in July is 2.4× its 6-month baseline (2,340 vs 980). Two annual renewals?"

  • Alison — The accounting teammate. Categorizes bank transactions, drafts journal entries, watches for anomalies, and asks for approval before anything that moves money.
  • Close exception — Something that blocks a monthly close: an uncategorized transaction, an unreconciled statement, an unbalanced clearing account.
  • Category variance — A read-only comparison of each account across periods: this month vs last, same month last year, or every month of the fiscal year.
