Opening balance equity
The account that absorbs the other side of opening balances so the first day still balances. Should net to zero once setup is done.
In Solo Superstars
Every opening balance you enter credits (or debits) this account. When setup is complete, post one entry moving its balance to Owner’s Investment or Retained Earnings; a leftover balance is a sign setup was never finished.
Example
Opening checking 8,400 and opening card balance (1,200): OBE 7,200, then cleared to 3100 Owner’s Investment.
Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
