Cents. The app stores every amount as a whole number of cents and only shows dollars and decimals on screen.
In Solo Superstars
You type $12.99; the database keeps 1299. This avoids the rounding drift that decimal math causes, which matters when thousands of lines must sum to exactly the same number in two places.
CSV imports and bulk uploads accept normal dollar amounts; the conversion happens once at the boundary.
Example
A trial balance that must foot to the cent does, because nothing was ever a fraction of a cent.
