Tax close
The controlled process of resolving tax requirements, freezing the prepared facts and handing an approved package to the filer.
In Solo Superstars
A tax close begins only after the relevant bookkeeping is usable. Unlike a books close, it tracks tax-specific requirements and can be revised without silently rewriting an earlier handoff.
Example
The 2026 books are closed, W-9 gaps are resolved, the return package is approved, and revision 1 is handed to the CPA.
Codes shown are the defaults a new workspace starts with. Yours may be renamed or renumbered — check Accounting › Chart of accounts. See the full default chart.
