Service date
The date goods were delivered or services were performed, when that differs from the document date.
In Solo Superstars
Where it is used: Invoices, receipts and source documents may retain it as business evidence. The accounting date still follows the applicable posting and recognition rules.
Example
Consulting performed March 31 can be invoiced April 3 while retaining March 31 as the service date.
